Germans Demand to Withdraw Troops from Afghanistan

A march took place in Berlin, whose participants demanded from the authorities speedy withdrawal of troops of the Federal Republic of Germany from Afghanistan. Some hundreds of people took place in the protest action.

An occasion of the protest action became NATO’s air thrust near Kunduz on demand of the Bundeswehr contingent commander. According to various estimates, as a consequence of this operation up to 135 Afghanis were killed, among them civilians inclusive of children, the dead number in the hundreds.

Angela Merkel, the German chancellor promised to make a thorough investigation of the incident. On Tuesday the Head of the German federal government put out a government statement in the Bundestag about the situation in Afghanistan.

In turn, the command of the Allied Forces Headquarters forbade taking alcoholic drinks onsite the Headquarters in Kabul, all the seven bars were closed. The matter is that on the night of firing all the staff officers were drunk.
