The Russian Emergency Situations Ministry will send two planes with 70 tons of food as humanitarian aid to Syria’s victims of the recent earthquake, the ministry told TASS on Friday.
"Emergency Situations Ministry’s aircraft will deliver humanitarian aid to Syria. Two Il-76 planes of the Emergency Situations Ministry will have 70 tons of food for the citizens of the Arab Republic of Syria," the ministry said, TASS reports.
The ministry said the first of the planes has taken off to Syria from the Zhukovsky Airport. The second plane is ready to take off in the next few hours.
