Iran has declined to hold any talks on its nuclear program with the "European Three" – France, Great Britain and Germany. This Iranian position was disclosed by the country's Foreign Ministry today.
Monday, February 20, Iran's Foreign Minister, Manuchehr Mottaki, held a new round of consultations with representatives of the "European Three" in Brussels. On coming back to Tehran, he said unexpectedly that instead of the "troika" Iran would talk "to each individual European country separately".
The "European Three" had been holding talks with Tehran on its nuclear energy program over the last three years under mandate of the whole of the European Union.
