The well-known US financier George Soros has admitted he has been "aiding the democratic processes in Georgia and Ukraine". At the same time he would not like to call this aid as "funding".
According to Soros, he has given "initial financial support" to Georgia's new government. Through the UN Development Program he has been giving money for the salaries ($1000.00 per month) of Saakashvili's ministers. After this information became known to the public, the program of "paying salaries to Georgian government" was terminated.
Speaking at a press conference in Davos, Switzerland, George Soros expressed his appreciation for the activities of his funds in Georgia and Ukraine. It was his men who organized the exit-polls during the elections.
