French automaker Renault launched the production of Renault Logan cars at the Moscow Avtoframos plant on April 5.
Renault expects that by the end of 2006 the annual output of the Avtoframos plant will reach 60,000 cars. Later on the production would go up to 120,000 cars per year.
The French party has invested 230 million Euro in the equipment of the new plant. Renault top management has also announced that additional investments would be coming, but their volume has not been defined yet.
The Logan cars produced at the Moscow plant will be equipped with 75 and 90 hp engines and sold in the price range of $8,000 - $12,000.
