Medical men in South Korea claim they have found a remedy for bird flu, while at their summit in Busan APEC leaders have been discussing the threat of the disease spreading. The epidemic can be stopped by means of Korean sauerkraut (sour cabbage) "kimchhi" loaded with red pepper.
It has not been specified where the medicinal effect comes from, though it has long been known that in winter-time "kimchhi" makes up for the shortage of vitamins in human organism, like sauerkraut in Russia.
