Terrorist No. 1 Usama Bin Laden, leader of "Al-Qaeda", has charged the US with using "barbarian" tactics in Iraq similar to those of the Saddam Hussein regime. This statement was posted at one of Internet sites. The audio recording is supposedly a continuation of Bin Laden's message made public on January 19, 2006, where he offered a truce to the US, but said he was planning a new attack against it.
He also said he would not surrender alive. "I've sworn I would only live free. Though death is bitter, I don't want to die humiliated and deceived", said Bin Laden. "Jeehad has been gaining strength, in spite of all the barbarity and reprisals of the American army and its allies whose criminal actions are in no way different from those of Hussein", he emphasized.
