Terrorist organization "Al-Qaeda" says it will continue suicide bomb attacks against petroleum refining facilities in Saudi Arabia. "Al-Qaeda" has posted a statement to that effect on one of its Internet sites.
As has been reported, last Friday two suicide bombers attempted to drive their explosives-laden cars into the country's biggest Abqaiq oil refinery situated in the east of the country. The terrorists were shot dead by security guards when they tried to drive past the plant's gate. Two guards also died in the incident.
"This was only one of a series of such operations, which Al-Qaeda is conducting against the Crusaders and Jews in order to stop the pillage of Muslim riches", says the statement.
Leaders of "Al-Qaeda" have repeatedly threatened Saudi Arabia with similar acts of terror, but the Abqaiq refinery was their first attempt at executing such threats. Earlier, "Al-Qaeda" terrorists had killed several foreigners working at Saudi refining facilities.
