A tense situation bordering on panic continues in the Georgian capital. It was caused by the death of two children said to have died of flu. All clinics in Tbilisi have been ordered to work in an emergency regimen accepting patients 14 hours a day.
Sunday night four people who had been in contact with the demised children were admitted to an isolation hospital in a very grave condition. Today the school where they used to go to looked deserted. However, doctors claim that there is no need to panic as the flu in question is of the "A" type, which is a common variety having no relation whatsoever to bird flu.
