Who needs chaos in Ukraine?

West’s main objective is to tear Ukraine off Russia

Who needs chaos in Ukraine? Who needs chaos in Ukraine?

The Russian State Duma has today unanimously adopted a statement on the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine. The document states that the deputies are watching with anxiety the wave of civil conflict to overflow the brotherly Ukraine. “The actions of the protest movement have assumed an aggressive character; in essence there is an attempt to overthrow the legitimate government institutions in the country by force”, members of the lower house of the Russian Parliament warned.

Russia's foreign minister, Sergei Lavrov, has expressed his concern over the situation in Ukraine. He said he would not want to keep the talks of a Ukraine split. “We are doing everything to prevent it,” said Lavrov. According to him, Moscow is well aware that the opposition’s actions in Kiev are largely stimulated from abroad, but it turns out that this stimulation does not consider the interests of the opposition itself and only provoke violence. Russian Foreign Minister reminded that the leaders of some other countries demanded the President of Ukraine to “listen to the voice of the people” and, if not, they predicted chaos in the country. “What is that - a prophecy or a prediction? I do not know, but maybe someone is interested in this. We are not,” said Sergei Lavrov.

The answer to the question, who is interested in chaos in Ukraine, is not far to seek. A representative of the Ukrainian security service called not groundless the statements that foreign nationals actively intervene and incite extremists to participate in riots. As an example, he cited a number of facts. Thus, a few days ago a U.S. citizen Farmer Stewart Charr arranged at the building of the Kiev city administration, captured by extremists, the showing of the film “Maidan. The people demand the overthrow of the regime.” And the citizen of Poland, whose authorities show a particular interest in the events in Ukraine, Zbigniew Bujak participated in the forum “Evromaidan” in Kharkov, where protests were demonstrated, and gave suggestions concerning the text of the resolution adopted by this forum. The representative of the Ukrainian security service called foreign citizens not to take actions that could be interpreted as interference in the internal affairs of Ukraine.

It is safe to say that the West is unlikely to stop its attempts to negatively influence the political situation in Ukraine. Very unpredictable consequences that may result from such a policy, the dangerous forces that may be given the green light are demonstrated by banners under which extremists are now performing their outrages. Here are also Bandera flags and nationalist tridents, and even openly fascist swastika.

As the State Duma deputies noted in the discussion, counting on the extremist forces shows that it makes no difference to Western politicians what Ukraine will be - democratic or non-democratic, prosperous or decaying. West’s main objective is to tear Ukraine off Russia

It is difficult to quarrel with this statement. The escalation of the situation in Ukraine that has reached an extremely dangerous point began when the Ukrainian leadership decided to suspend the EU association, realizing that this decision is inopportune and may lead to serious economic difficulties, hit at the interests of millions of ordinary citizens.

The fact that Russia, understanding the difficult economic situation in Ukraine, came to the aid of the brotherly country, allocating to it a large loan and agreeing to impose a reduced tariff for the supplied gas, even more enraged, just drove crazy both the opposition and its Western backers, who must have not expected such a ‘knight's move’ from Moscow. It has now become impossible to speculate on the economic difficulties and the lack of assistance from Russia, supposedly indifferent to Ukrainian problems. It is just the West that demonstrated and continues to demonstrate indifference to the problems of Kiev. But neither Washington nor London or some other European capitals do not hide their desire to aggravate the political situation to the limit and, if possible, to achieve the resignation of the current Ukrainian leadership, putting Western-oriented politicians at the head of the country. They use both blackmail, threats and flirting with the most rabid extremists, plunging Ukraine into chaos, which is the goal of Western strategists.

Today in Ukraine legislation providing for the increase of penalties for extremist actions has come into force. The fact that this measure is necessary, is beyond any doubt. Meanwhile, it was immediately rated both by the opposition and the West as ‘draconian’, ‘anti-democratic’, aimed at ‘stifling of freedom, infringement of the people’s rights’.

But those who are really interested in stabilizing the situation in Ukraine, who really cherish the interests of the Ukrainian people, welcome the country leadership’s efforts to normalize the situation.
