Two blasts roared at the "Empire Theater" on Champs Elysees in Paris Saturday morning. Witnesses say the explosions differed in power. They did not notice any tongues of fire.
The Parisian police, explosion experts, and gas supply and electrical engineers are trying to find what caused the explosion. The first two floors of the theater were badly damaged, an adjacent wall of that height was leveled to the ground.
Two night watchmen and five passers-by were injured by the blast. Traffic in the adjoining street was cordoned off. No official version of the blast has been offered so far.
