Kirghizian ex-president Askar Akayev has turned up again. This time the former Kirghiz leader has been reported as staying at one of the Moscow Region health centers.
Earlier mass media reported that Saturday night A. Akayev had arrived in Moscow from Kazakhstan. There has been no official confirmation of the report. The ousted Kirghizian leader communicates with the outside world through the Internet, conducting a correspondence dispute with his political opponents.
In one of his "throw-in" letters A. Akayev writes that he still remains the legitimate President of the country and calls on the putschists to return to the departure point of the standoff. The former Kirghiz leader says that he has wittingly rejected the use of force against the opposition in order to avoid a civil war in Kirghizia.
