Big lie of insignificant politician

British Prime Minister Theresa May has lied to keep her post...

A month ago, all media reported the poisoning of a former GRU officer, recruited by British intelligence agencies, Sergei Skripal and his daughter. Almost immediately, British Prime Minister Theresa May accused the Kremlin of trying to kill a double agent, without waiting for Scotland Yard's conclusions.

Meanwhile, unbiased experts pointed to the haste in the actions of the new "Iron Lady" from the very beginning. However, London has not bothered to present any convincing evidence of involvement of Russian security services in poisoning a former military intelligence officer, despite loud accusations against Moscow. Moreover, May was not able to give intelligible answers to a number of naturally arising questions. Why did the Kremlin decide to kill the traitor only eight years after his release – on the eve of the presidential election and shortly before the opening of the Soccer World Cup-2018?

Why did the Russian security services agree to the exchange of Skripal and released him from prison if they considered the former military intelligence officer so dangerous to the Kremlin? British high-ranking politicians evade uncomfortable questions all the time, confining themselves to the usual curses against the "empire of evil". It is this Russia's image that the West has been intensively creating lately.

However, Theresa May and her entourage obviously overdid it with the "Skripal case" - and they got into an extremely embarrassing. Experts of the British Defence Science and Technology Laboratory "Porton Down" announced the impossibility to prove that the nerve agent "Novice" was produced in Russia. Recall that Sergei Skripal and his daughter had been poisoned with a military-grade nerve agent of a type "Novice".

"We were able to identify it as "Novice", to identify it was a military-grade nerve agent. However, we have not verified the precise source and, most likely, we will not be able to do this in the future", chief executive of the government's Defence Science and Technology Laboratory Gary Aitkenhead said.

There is a strong feeling that May is frantically looking for an opportunity to retain power in the conditions of a split within her own party, the failure of Brexit, and the shaken international prestige of Great Britain. The Prime Minister needs to have an external enemy. It is obvious that Russia is suitable for this role. That is why London does not care much about the need to prove Moscow's guilt: the British authorities are unlikely to be able to provide objective facts on the " Skripal case". The main thing for them is to shout loudly about "insidious Russia", thereby again and again proving their own weakness and insignificance.
