Georgia will continue her aggressive peaceful initiatives to settle the conflicts in Abkhazia and South Ossetia, said Georgian president Mikhail Saakashvili at the opening of a youth camp in the village of Ureki.
"This is my Sukhumi, my Abkhazia, and I am not going to give them away to anybody", said M. Saakashvili. "We want peace, as there is nothing more fearful than war. But let everybody well remember: there will be no freezing of the conflicts with Abkhazia and South Ossetia", he said.
"We have no alternative to aggressive peaceful initiatives. I am not going to wait for a hundred years to close this issue, so we shall be very aggressive in our search for peace", said Georgian president.
M. Saakashvili also promised that everybody, regardless of their nationality, would be able to return to Abkhazia. "We are getting ready for it every day, and we shall be aggressive in our peaceful rhetoric and our peaceful initiatives", emphasized Georgian president.
He also promised that soon there would be no demarcation lines and no armor in Georgia that do not allow people to freely move in their own country, as was the case with Adjaria. "Where are the people who supplied tanks there, and where are the tanks? They have all disappeared, like last year's snow", said M. Saakashvili. He stressed that Georgia would regain Abkhazia and South Ossetia as peacefully as it had Adjaria.
