In Warsaw skinheads beat up and robbed four youths – three Russians and a schoolboy from Kazakhstan. All the Russian victims are children of Russian diplomats.

The incident took place in the Warsaw district of Makotus at about 21.00 on Sunday. The three Russian schoolboys and their friend from Kazakhstan who studies at the same Russian school in Warsaw were coming home from a movie when a gang of Polish skinheads attacked them. The children were cruelly beaten up, knocked to the ground, kicked in the stomach. They were robbed of money and documents. Then the skinheads looked through the boys' documents and, having made sure that they were really Russian, continued beating them up with double cruelty.

As witnesses say, the attackers were about 15 in number. They shouted anti-Russian slogans and obscenities. Prominent among them was a leader of about 26 years of age. Some witnesses say the gang arrived at the crime scene in a bus and left in the same orderly manner.

A medical examination of the schoolboys was conducted the same night. The preliminary results indicate that two Russians had concussion of the brain. The children had their teeth knocked out, one of them had his nose broken. They had numerous bruises, abrasions, and livid spots.

The Russian Embassy in Poland has issued an official note of protest in connection with the beating up of the Russian diplomats' children.
