The American Civil Liberties Union has defended the right of a Pennsylvania high school student to wear a "political T-shirt" to school.
The boy, Chris Sciano, came to school wearing a T-shirt with the face of President Bush and the words "International Terrorist" on the front.
A security guard ordered Sciano to take off the shirt, but the boy refused to do that, citing the first amendment to the US Constitution.
According to the school principal, after the incident was looked into at the American Civil Liberties Union the school authorities admitted that, being "potentially insulting", the T-shirt did not violate the school code , as it had no reference to sex, drugs, ethnic discrimination or bad language.
