Today Nagorni Karabakh marks its 14th anniversary of independence. Former President of Nagorni Karabakh, nowadays President of Armenia, Robert Kocharian, is attending the celebrations in Stepanokert.
In his official address to the people of the unrecognized republic, he stated that "the historic choice made by the people of Nagorni Karabakh is irreversible". According to the Armenian President, the proof of the irreversibility of the choice made by the people of Nagorni Karabakh is the fact that "the army, the state structures, the economy and the Republic of Nagorni Karabakh as a whole have made it".
The address emphasizes that Armenia is, and will always be, a reliable buttress for Nagorni Karabakh.
